The calculator was also checked against edge cases: zero bonus, blank inputs, a very long commute, extreme overtime, and very different take-home pay levels between the two options.

It intentionally doesn't calculate tax — you enter your own actual or estimated take-home pay, so the model never has to guess your tax bracket. That's a feature, not a gap: it means the numbers are exactly as accurate as what you type in.
